Grant Thornton is pleased to announce the appointment of Stanley Chang to the global advisory practice

Stanley Chang joins the Grant Thornton global advisory practice from 1 January 2013.

Bringing vast amounts of experience from a wide variety of sectors within the Asia Pacific region, Stanley will be working throughout Grant Thornton offices in Europe and North America over the next six months.  Stanley will be looking to find the most relevant advisory services to introduce in Asia Pacific and forging new and stronger networks between the region and the Grant Thornton advisory practices around the world.

Stanley joins Grant Thornton from Ernst &Young where he was the Life Sciences Leader for Greater China and the Asia Pacific area.  He is currently a board member of the China Institute of Internal Auditors (CIIA) and an advisor to the Shenzhen Stock Exchange and the China National Audit Office.  Prior to this Stanley held international roles on the global board of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), helped establish the Asia Confederation of Institutes of Internal Auditors (ACIIA) and serviced two terms on the Internal Audit Standards Board, which prescribes the global internal audit standards.

Nigel Ruddock, global leader for advisory services, said of the appointment: “We are delighted to welcome Stanley to the team, who brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience from both the US and Asia Pacific regions.  Grant Thornton is growing rapidly in the Asia Pacific region and where we are investing in talented individuals to continue this expansion.”

Stanley Chang commented: “Grant Thornton is the firm with the greatest opportunity to grow in the region and I am really excited to join the team at this stage and work with Nigel and the various country leaders to seize the moment.”
